The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires accuracy, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have.

 

 

•Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.

•Issue receipts, refunds, and handle exchanges as per store policy.

•Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.

•Greet customers and provide assistance with product questions or locating items.

•Address customer concerns or escalate them to a supervisor as needed.

•Maintain a courteous and friendly attitude to enhance the customer experience.

•Keep the checkout area clean and organized.

•Restock and organize merchandise around the register as needed.

•Monitor and notify the team of low stock levels for key items.

•Follow all cash handling policies to prevent loss.

•Be vigilant of any suspicious activity and report it to the supervisor.

•Comply with store policies and procedures at all times.

 

 

•Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

•Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.

 

 

•Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash.

•Good communication and customer service skills.

•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Work Environment: This role involves standing for long periods, interacting with the public, and working with cash transactions. Shifts may include weekends and holidays, depending on store hours.
